car tire! Empire sells tire bales (100 tires bound into a
solid brick) and tire shred of varying sizes directly to
industrial users for use as Tire Derived Fuel (TDF). Common
uses include utilizing in place of expensive coal burning
cement kilns and in paper and pulp mills. This method
currently accounts for about half of all tire recycling in
