About Tire Recycling

The generation of additional scrap tires in North America each year has increased 8 fold since 1990. This has proven to become one of the world’s most significant recycling issues. The good news is that scrap tires are a resource that can be used in a wide variety of applications.

Over 300 million additional scrap tires are generated each year in North America alone. Through innovation, the government’s increasing law

awareness for our environment and the commitment of tire processors and recyclers, almost 90% of scrap tires are being recycled today. This still leaves 30 million tires each year accumulating in landfills in addition to the many millions resting there already.
